Organisers claim their walk smashed the previous record which was set in Aysbury Park in the US — where 4,093 zombies marched in 2010. The zombie walk craze has grown in popularity in recent years fuelled by movies and TV. The craze is particularly popular in Mexico, where the "Day of the Dead" is a national celebration.
